Position Overview
As a Research Intern at Qurocare, you will play a crucial role in our innovative research team, contributing to groundbreaking projects in Computational Biology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, and Genomics. This remote internship offers an opportunity to work closely with our core team, where you will engage in analyzing genomic and health data, developing predictive models, and helping to create protocols for personalized health assessments.

You will be responsible for leveraging publicly available data to uncover patterns and biomarkers, testing models for disease risk and health optimization, and collaborating with our team to integrate findings into actionable health reports. This role provides a platform to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world context, gain hands-on experience in a dynamic startup environment, and make a meaningful impact on our research initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze publicly available genomic and health data to identify patterns and biomarkers.
• Develop and test predictive models for disease risk, nutrition, and fitness.
• Collaborate with the research team to integrate findings into comprehensive health reports.
• Contribute to the design and refinement of research protocols and models.
• Document research processes, analyze results, and assist in report generation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s or PhD program in Computational Biology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or a related field. Exceptional Bachelor’s degree holders with practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in bioinformatics tools and genomic databases.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong data analysis skills with the capability to interpret complex biological data and tackle research challenges.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
