Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) seeks a dynamic MBA intern to lead our innovative low-tech assistive devices project within the Social Enterprises and Inclusion Department. This role offers comprehensive project management experience in social innovation and inclusive technology.

Position Overview

The Project Management Intern will oversee the development and implementation of low-tech assistive devices for people with intellectual disabilities. This strategic role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

 

●          Lead the end-to-end project management of low-tech assistive devices development

●          Coordinate with technical and social work interns to ensure project milestones are met

●          Develop and maintain project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management plans

●          Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when needed

●          Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings and progress reviews Strategic Planning & Documentation

●          Prepare comprehensive project documentation including plans, reports, and presentations

●          Develop strategic frameworks for project implementation and scaling

●          Create business cases and value propositions for leadership review

●          Document best practices and standard operating procedures

●          Prepare impact assessment reports and analytics Stakeholder Management

●          Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and beneficiaries


●          Present project updates and insights to K-DISC leadership

●          Manage relationships with educational institutions and disability support organizations

●          Facilitate communication between technical teams and end-users

●          Build and maintain strategic partnerships Event Management

●          Plan and execute awareness events and workshops

●          Organize the low-tech assistive devices showcase

●          Coordinate promotional activities and stakeholder engagement

●          Manage event logistics and documentation

●          Prepare post-event reports and analysis Research & Analysis

●          Conduct market research on assistive technology needs and solutions

●          Analyze project data and prepare insight reports

●          Research similar initiatives globally and identify best practices

●          Develop recommendations for project scaling and sustainability

●          Prepare case studies and success stories

Required Qualifications

●          Currently pursuing MBA with specialization in:

○          Operations Management

○          Project Management

○          Social Enterprise Management

○          Or related field

●          Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

●          Excellent project management and organizational abilities

●          Superior communication and presentation skills

●          Leadership experience in managing teams

●          Proficiency in MS Office suite and project management tools

Preferred Skills

●          Previous experience in social sector projects

●          Understanding of assistive technology landscape

●          Knowledge of impact assessment methodologies

●          Experience in event management

●          Familiarity with design thinking principles
