About the Internship:

The Local Self Government Department (LSGD) offers an exciting internship opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to the Extreme Poverty Eradication Programme. Interns will gain valuable experience in community engagement, program monitoring, and data management, directly impacting efforts to reduce extreme poverty at the local level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Extreme Poverty Eradication Programme at the local level, supporting its execution across communities.
  • Collect feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders to evaluate the program’s effectiveness and ensure its alignment with community needs.
  • Support documentation, data entry, and report preparation related to program activities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Manage and organize data related to the program, ensuring it is properly stored and easily accessible for analysis.
  • Coordinate with LSGD officials and field teams to ensure seamless implementation and timely resolution of issues at the ground level.

Who Can Apply?

  • Recent graduates in Social Work, Sociology, Economics, Public Policy, or related fields.
  • A passion for community development and an interest in poverty eradication.
  • Strong communication skills in both Malayalam and English.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned local area.
