Description

The Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) invites applications for internship roles under the STRIDE (State-level inclusive innovation initiative). These roles support outreach, communication, technology, creativity, and event execution for inclusive and assistive technology programs across Kerala.

Interns will gain hands-on experience working with a government-led innovation ecosystem focused on social impact, accessibility, and inclusive development.

Position Overview

STRIDE Interns will work closely with the STRIDE Program Team to support awareness building, digital presence, community engagement, and execution of programs related to assistive technology, inclusion, and social innovation. Volunteers will collaborate across teams and contribute to real-world initiatives at a state level.

Role-wise Responsibilities

1. Media Team

Manage social media platforms and digital outreach

Support photo/video coverage of events and activities

Assist in campaign planning and media scheduling

Coordinate with design and content teams

2. Design Team

Create posters, social media creatives, and presentation materials

Support branding and visual consistency for STRIDE initiatives

Assist in designing reports, certificates, and event collateral

3. Content Team

Draft content for social media, websites, reports, and newsletters

Assist in documenting events, projects, and impact stories

Support storytelling around inclusive innovation and assistive tech

4. Tech Team

Support website, app, and digital platform maintenance

Assist with basic development, testing, and tech support

Help manage digital tools, dashboards, and forms

Support accessibility-focused digital solutions

5. Events Team

Assist in planning and coordinating STRIDE events and workshops

Support speaker coordination, registrations, and logistics

Help manage on-ground and virtual event execution

6. MDC – Membership Development Coordinato

Lead onboarding and engagement of new STRIDE members

Coordinate membership registrations and database updates

Strengthen campus and community participation in STRIDE

Support retention strategies and member communication

Act as a link between members, campuses, and the STRIDE core team

7. Creative Team

Ideate innovative engagement formats and campaigns

Support creative storytelling, concepts, and outreach ideas

Collaborate across media, content, and design teams

Eligibility

Open to students, recent graduates, and young professionals

Any discipline may apply based on interest and skillset

Passion for social impact, inclusion, innovation, or technology is essential
