·         To collect and study blood samples for using in transfusions by identifying the number of cells, the cell morphology or the blood group, blood type, and compatibility with other blood types

·         To conduct the chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, spinal fluid, or tissue samples, to determine the presence of normal or abnormal components

·         To set up, calibrate, operate, cleaning and maintain equipment’s used in quantitative or qualitative analysis, such as spectro photometers, Calorimeters, flame photometers and computer‐controlled analysers

·         To provide technical information about test results to physicians, family members, or researchers

·         the documentation of data and analysis of medical tests and clinical results into a patient’s medical record/ computer for storage.

·         To establish and monitor quality assurance programs or activities to ensure the accuracy of laboratory results

·         For supervising, training and/or directing laboratory technicians, assistants, or other medical laboratory workers engaged in laboratory testing

·         To conduct research under the direction of Microbiologist or Biochemist
