The course emphasizes theoretical foundations, practical applications, and safety considerations in the field of mechanical quality control.


ü  To understand fundamental principles: Acquire a deep understanding of the principles underlying PT, MPI, UT, and RT, including capillary action, magnetic theory, sound properties, and radiation physics. ü  To perform inspection procedures: Learn the step-by-step procedures for PT, including pre-cleaning, application, development, interpretation, and reporting. Apply similar methodologies to MPI, UT, and RT. ü  To identify and classify materials: Understand the three types of magnetic materials, types of sound waves in UT, and different radiation types in RT, including alpha, beta, and gamma rays. ü  To operate testing equipment: Gain proficiency in operating PT, MPI, UT, and RT equipment, including probes, magnetic fields, ultrasonic machines, and radiation sources. ü  To interpret results: Develop skills in interpreting PT indications, magnetic particle patterns, ultrasonic signals, and radiographic images. ü  To ensure safety: Understand safety measures, shielding materials, and radiation safety practices in UT and RT. ü  To calibrate equipment: Learn calibration procedures for PT, MPI, UT, and RT equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results. ü  To perform inspections with different techniques: Acquire skills in conducting inspections using various techniques such as SWSI, SWDI, DWSI, and DWDI.
