Course Overview
The course is structured to provide participants with a thorough
understanding of Quality
Assurance and Quality Control principles in civil construction. It
starts with an introduction to QA/QC, roles and responsibilities, international standards, and project quality
planning. Participants will then delve into specific
quality control tests for aggregates, cement, and concrete, encompassing destructive,
semi-destructive, and non-destructive testing methods. The course concludes with the application of NDT methods,
such as rebound hammer tests, ultrasonic
pulse velocity tests, and infrared thermography tests, among others. Practical
exercises and real-world case studies are integrated to enhance hands-on
skills

The Civil QC course in Quality Assurance and Quality
Control with Concrete Non-Destructive Testing
(NDT) is a comprehensive 45-day program designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure
the quality of civil construction projects. The course covers fundamental concepts of QA/QC, international standards,
inspection procedures, NDT methods, calibration, and project quality
planning. Participants will also undergo
extensive training in
various quality assurance and control tests for coarse and fine aggregates,
cement, and concrete. The course
includes both destructive and non-destructive testing methods, providing a holistic
understanding of quality
control in the civil construction industry
Understand QA/QC Concepts: Gain a comprehensive understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles applicable to civil construction projects. Apply International Standards: Familiarize participants with ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 standards, ensuring adherence to international codes and standards. Prepare Inspection Procedures: Develop the skills to prepare inspection procedures and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP) in civil construction projects. Conduct Quality Control Tests: Perform a variety of quality control tests on coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, and cement, using both destructive and non-destructive methods. Master Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing: Acquire proficiency in destructive testing methods, including petrography analysis and concrete core extraction tests, as well as non-destructive testing methods like rebound hammer tests, ultrasonic pulse velocity tests, and infrared thermography tests. Implement QA/QC System: Learn how to implement and monitor QA/QC systems, ensuring compliance with project quality plans and specific quality procedures. Conduct Traceability and Inspections: Understand the importance of traceability, conduct stage-wise inspections, and prepare comprehensive documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
