The Computer Aided Drafting and Design course provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in utilizing computer software for creating precise technical drawings and designs. This course is designed for individuals with a background in engineering, architecture, or related fields seeking to enhance their drafting and design skills using computer software. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics, including fundamental drawing principles, drafting techniques, 2D and 3D modeling, and the utilization of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Through hands-on practice and comprehensive instruction, participants will develop the proficiency to produce intricate technical drawings, architectural plans, and detailed designs. By the end of the course, students will be capable of creating accurate, organized, and visually appealing drafts that adhere to industry standards.

Analyze technical drawings using both CAD and basic manual tools. Create mechanical parts for different applications. Apply the stages of the design process from scratch using engineering graphics techniques such as sectional projections, dimensioning and computer-generated drawings (2D). CAD allows experts to create more accurate design representations. CAD replaced manual design drafting, allowing design development, alteration and optimization. CAD enables engineers to craft more precise designs and manipulate them virtually. CAD software calculates how multiple materials relate.
